Bio
Alexandra Lillis is an Artist and Instructor with a passion for the creative process. She received her BFA from Ringling College of Art and Design. Continuing to develop her own artistic expressions, she has worked as a Freelance Artist, Children's Book Illustrator, and Art Educator.
Alexandra has been teaching Adult Art Education with a wide variety of institutions including Ringling College of Art and Design CSSP department, ArtSpace of Anna Maria a gallery and working artist's studio, and Art Center Manatee of Bradenton Florida among many others. Being trained in a variety of Mediums, Techniques, and Artistic Approaches, Alexandra has found through sharing her skills and insights that all Art Students benefit from the experience of individualized instruction. She has honed an approach that uniquely gets students academically informed as they grow and learn on their own original works of Art. By creating a system and atmosphere that engages students in producing works of art that they are excited about and invested in, their rate of advancement maintains momentum as they absorb structure and techniques as needed.
Receiving her own inspiration from nature, the human body, and the limitless landscape of the imagination, she is keenly sensitive to every Artists unique "vision." Her intention is to give the Artist within her students the support and encouragement to evolve and surpass their highest goals.
